Ramona Mitchell Stubbs 85 passed away Oct. 28, 2014 surrounded by her family at Emerald Pointe in Cedar City, Utah where she was lovingly cared for until her passing. She was born Sept. 7, 1929 at home in Parowan, Utah to Ray Orton Mitchell -and Roca Lowder Mitchell. She had one sibling, a brother Boyd whom she loved dearly and was very close to for 84 years before his passing last year and missed terribly to the end. Ramona married Joseph Mickelson Stubbs, Nov. 4, 1950 and later was sealed in the St. George LDS temple, Sept 19, 1980. They had 3 daughters Karrie (Cad) Cauley, Dinah Stubbs and Wendy (Shane) Bess. She worked as a music and PE teacher at Parowan High School early on and then as a banker retiring after 28 years and three banks later. She gave of her most precious talent playing the piano, to her community for more than 60 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, brother Boyd, grandson Eugene Day and best friend Frankie Lou Bentley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday Nov 1, 2014 at 1pm at the Parowan 3rd/4th Ward Chapel on South Main. A viewing on Friday Oct. 31, 2014 from 6-8pm at the Parowan Southern Utah Mortuary at 100 S Main, Parowan and Saturday Nov 1, 2014 from 11:30-12:30. Interment will be in the Parowan City cemetery under the direction of the Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be sent to www.sumortuary.com
