Nancy Bullock Obituary

Nancy Prince Bullock

Washington

Our incredible wife, mother, sister & friend Nancy Prince Bullock moved on to her Heavenly home on Saturday, November 19th 2016. Nancy was a bright light of positivity and although she faced many challenges with her health, she did so with grace, a kind heart, and a smile on her face always.

Nancy Prince Bullock, age 63 was born on February 23, 1953 to William Wayne Prince and Isabell Newman Prince in Holladay, Utah. Nancy was the sixth of ten children to bless the Prince family. Nancy married Gregory Wood Bullock on October 5, 1972 and was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple for time and all eternity the following year. Together Nancy & Gregory had four sons, creating their loving Bullock family.

Nancy was raised in Holladay Utah, where she graduated from the first class at Cottonwood High School. She was active member of the LDS church, where she loved to serve in every way possible. Nancy loved to sing! She took state in High School with the Madrigals, and was part of the Sound Society Folk Group, Jay Welch Choral, and the Sacra Dulce Chorus. Nancy had a great love for performing for the Church road shows in performances such as Fidler on the Roof & Oklahoma, as well as directing the play Music Man. Her love for singing led her to a singles group where she met the love of her life. In addition to her love for music, she was an extremely talented artist, seamstress, and cook. Nancy's greatest joy was that of CEO of the Bullock home, raising her four sons and taking care of her family.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gregory Wood Bullock, St George, Ut. Sons; John Bullock of Nome, AK, Wayne (Kristin) Bullock of St. George, Ut., Warren (Fiancé Samantha) Bullock of Santa Rosa, CA. , Brian (Sasha) Bullock of Salt Lake City, UT. Siblings: Richard (Sharon) Prince, Miriam "Mimi" Hansen, Gayla (Ed) Wallace, Janice (Phil) Powers, Trello (Jan) Prince, Maggie (John) Rothbauer, LaVelle (Kerri) Prince, Karalee (Randy) Glauser, Matthew (Mechelle) Prince. Grandchildren; Kinkade, Kennedy, Chase, Camryn, Axton, Sky, and Ian.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00am at the LDS Chapel located at 115 W. 2000 S. Washington, Utah 84780. Visitation will be held prior to the service; beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Washington City Cemetery, under the direction of McMillan Mortuary 435-688-8880.

Nothing was more precious to Nancy than her family! We know she is watching over all of us until we meet again, and as Nancy would always say in parting… "Love Ya!"

Nancy was blessed with a knowledge of many things beyond her years. When we were all young newlyweds and living in Woods Cross she was a leader for teaching homemaking skills to the other young wives and mothers. She knew the "whys" of making a successful pie crust and, to this day, I cannot make a flaky one without thinking of what she taught me. She was very crafty and some of our best-loved Christmas decorations that have lasted throughout the years, were thought up by Nancy. Since they moved we've thought a lot about the Bullocks and have missed them when we have gathered with the dinner group that they were originally part of. Yes, she brightened every occasion with her smile and laughter. She leaves behind a wonderful husband and family that will be with her again. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with the Bullock family at this time.

My wife, Marilyn, and I became acquainted with Greg and Nancy around 1975 when we moved into a ward they were living in Woods Cross. Nancy was fun and energetic and kind, and everything mentioned in the obituary. We were invited into a dinner group, and the Bullock were also, so our association with them carried over several years after moving from woods Cross. Sadly our regularity of meeting with them ended when they moved to St. George. We love the Bullocks and now cherish the memory of our friendship with them. Nancy was a happy and fun person who brightened a room by simply entering it. She was the kind of person who invited people into her wide circle of friends, and people enjoyed being around her. It's hard for me to imagine her without a smile on her face because it seemed she was always and naturally cheerful!
