Hubert Colvin, 95, formerly of Willisburg, passed away at 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at Wesley Manor Nursing Home in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, he was born Oct. 1, 1923, to the late Murray London and Mary Frances Cranfill Colvin.
He was a member of Willisburg Christian Church, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of J. Speed Smith Masonic Lodge # 298 F.&A.M. at Willisburg and a retired employee of General Electric.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Mary Elizabeth Scott Colvin March 8, 1991; a sister, Maudie Lee Byrd April 3, 2009 and three brothers, Sherman Colvin Jan. 5, 1979, Murray Colvin, Jr. Oct. 16, 1936, and Walter Colvin Sept. 23, 1925.
Survivors include a sister, Nila Jean Gillahan of Shelbyville; three nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Lance Ladd, minister of the Willisburg Christian Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
