MAUREEN AYLING We remember and celebrate the life of Maureen Ayling and announce her passing on February 7, 2014, at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto, surrounded by her family. For nearly 59 years, Maureen was the loving wife of Gerald and together they raised Clifford and Anne, who are eternally grateful for her guidance, love and tender care. Maureen will be sadly missed by Gerald, and her children, her daughter-in- law Rosemary, her son-in-law Bobby, her grandchildren Gerry, Francis, Erin, Alyssa and Keara, and her dear friend Kitty. Maureen was predeceased by her father John and her mother Johanna, brothers Michael, Sean, and Rody and sisters Kathleen and Joan, and will be remembered by relatives in Ireland, England and the United States. We knew Maureen as a caring wife and mother, but most fondly as "Grannie" as she unselfishly provided a loving home for her children, grandchildren, friends and family. Her strong comittment and devotion to her family overseas spanned decades as she would fondly say, "I am going home to Ireland" on her regular trips to Ballinaclough. As she leaves us now to go home to eternal rest after battling many years of health related challenges, we have many people to thank. With gratitude we respectfully acknowledge her longtime family physician, Dr. Denise Cole, who made Maureen's long journey tolerable through her sincere care and attention. A very special thank you to the health care professionals and chaplains at St. Joseph's Health Centre, especially Sharon Mulsant, Dr. Downy, Dr. Johnston, the 4 East Nurses, Fr. Austin and Sabrina, whose compassion and kindness made Maureen's last days comfortable, dignified and peaceful. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, 122 Rathburn Rd.
