I had the chance to meet Jim through the High Park Ski Club. Later, I took part to activities with him with the Bicycle Club and the Hiking Club.
He was such an interesting man. And so nice!
My sincere condolences.

Deeply saddened to hear of Jims passing. Enjoyed his company skiing, hiking, cycling and dancing but couldn't come close to keeping up with that energetic man who really enjoyed life. Jim will be missed by so many.

Upon this day sadness in our hearts...
In the silence, no voice do we hear,
No sounds of laughter, emptiness' feared,
No smile is found, no song in our hearts,
A loss in the family, one has embarked,
A journey for soul one special man,
Jim gave to others, a helping hand,
A gentle man, whose hearts desired,
Jim reached new heights, in others she inspired,
We all knew it, we know he cared,
The love in his heart is something he shared.
Those who marvelled, life that he earned,
What time he shared, lessons we learned
A leader and coach, head scout and friend,
Inquisitive and insightful, to the very end,
With confidence comes victory, strength comes will,
Patience's comes virtue, in time comes skill,
Though cold and snow wind and rain,
The rite of passage he never complained,
Memories and faces old places he'd been,
Photographs now cherished something to be seen,
For family and friends, all who gathered near,
Remember his spirit it still lingers here.

To a one of a kind gentle man. I have always enjoyed the interesting conversations and your humour. Always made everyone fell welcome and part of the group.
