I was lucky to get to know you when you were on my crew. We shared laughs about how we both talked fast and that people just couldn't keep up and how you called me ma'am the first time we met eventhough we were both the same age. That is the polite and traditional gentleman I will remember and I am so sorry that you left us so quickly. I know you are in a better place now and that you do not have to suffer anymore. Your friends at work will miss you dearly. I offer my deepest sympathies to your family who will miss the wonderful son, brother and uncle that you were. Rest in peace.

Douglas you were one of the hardest working recruits I ever had the pleasure of teaching. You showed us how to dig in deep and face things head on during a difficult and stressful time. The CBSA was lucky to have you. Hopefully, you are resting peaceful.
