Marv's first SCUBA - Huntsville - c. 1963
Jim & Midge Wyse
June 23, 2013
Marvin & I met in the early 1960's while we were both Engineers in Training at the Ontario Highway Dept based in Toronto. In my spare time, I was building a summer cottage near Huntsville and Marvin was one of the most regular volunteer week-end builders. It took two years for the cottage to reach the habitable stage, and probably would have been finished earlier if we had not consumed so much beer in the process. All the volunteers had life-time visitation rights and we had a lot of fun over the ensuing years at the Lake Vernon cottage.
When our family moved west to Vancouver, we gradually lost touch with each other but a visit from Linda and Dennis to Oliver BC about 2-years ago (2011) got me thinking about those good old days and I scanned some "cottage" photos with the good intention of emailing them to Marv. Sadly it appears that I'm too late now. Midge and I are very sorry to hear of Marv's passing. He was a great friend during those early years in the 1960's.
