Kulli MILLES Obituary

MILLES, Kulli Febuary 7, 1936 - July 1, 2021 Peacefully, in her 85th year, on Thursday, July 1, 2021. Beloved mother to Andres Watson. A self-proclaimed "perpetual student", she fled Estonia with her family, arriving in Toronto in 1952 and attended Oakwood Collegiate; an avid book lover, she worked at part-time jobs as a librarian at libraries such as Locke Library, until landing a full-time job as the main librarian at OPSEU in 1976. She had a passion for birds as well as astronomy and worked alongside Dr. Donald MacCrae at the Dunlop Observatory; an alumnus of the University of Toronto-St. George campus. Member of numerous groups such as The Canadian Society for Syriac Services, Toronto Field Naturalists, Toronto West Junction Historical Society, the Bathurst/Davenport Community Association, and a Friend of the Tollkeeper's Cottage. Many thanks to the staff at The O'Neill Centre Long Term Care for their hard work and support. A graveside service will take place at York Cemetery (160 Beecroft Rd., Toronto), on Monday, July 19th, at 2 p.m.

I miss my mother very much.
I still can't believe that she's not here anymore.

I miss my mother very much. Sometimes I still can't believe she's not here anymore. I believe in an afterlife. I hope wherever she is, she is having a peaceful and happy existence.
I love you forever.
Your son, Andres

Sincere condolences to Andres Watson on the passing of your mother. I knew her through the RASC Toronto Centre, of which she was a life member. We saw each other at meetings through much of the last 50 years until Kulli was no longer able to travel across the city to our meetings.
I also convey sincere sympathy on behalf of the RASC Toronto Centre which Kulli joined in 1959.
