Gary GRAHAM Obituary

GRAHAM, Gary Joseph December 18, 1941 - March 18, 2018 The family of Gary Joseph Graham celebrates the life of their patriarch who passed away peacefully at home in Oakville on Sunday, March 18, 2018. Although we are deeply saddened with his passing, we celebrate his life. We are thankful that he is now resting at peace knowing how proud he was of the legacy he was leaving behind. Gary faced his ailing health with unwavering strength and bravery and without complaint. He would always say "I'm okay, it's part of the deal". He was a true inspiration. There was no one quite like the "Big G". Gary joined the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force as a cadet when he turned 18 and spent 25 years proudly serving and protecting. Married for 53 years, Gary will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Catherine (nee Rennie). He was the stalwart and protective big brother to JoAnne Conlin and Candace Graham. He will be especially missed by his 3 children, his daughter Michelle and her husband Gary Anderson, Michael and his wife Nancy Beaulieu and Melissa and her husband Michael Smith. His grandchildren had a very special place in his heart starting when Jessica was born, followed by Joshua, Jordan, Jacob, Lucas, Lily, Benjamin and finally Sophie Soleil. He knew how lucky he was to watch them grow up and they knew how lucky they were to have a proud grandfather with unwavering and undeniable love for them. Uncle Gary will be dearly missed by all of his nieces and nephews. He taught us that family was the most important thing in life. He taught us that is was important to have a sense of humour and to laugh. He taught us that it was okay to make mistakes because we were all human. He taught us to roll with the punches because life could be hard. During his illness dad was extremely lucky to be cared for by his sister Candace. We can't thank you and your family enough Bobo we are truly grateful. As well, special thanks to Aunt JoAnne and cousin Marcia for all your loving help and support. Nurse Ivana and Amanda, Dr. Myers and to Dr. Mary Fran Bolland who he referred to as "the best". Rest in peace Big G. See you at the beach you little hunny #63. Funeral Mass to be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2265 Headon Rd., Burlington, ON. Reception to follow.
