I have fond memories of Uncle D, Aunt Jean and my cousins, Nancy & Guy. Nancy and I showed horses together. I'm thankful I got to talk to Uncle D shortly before he passed.
Loved hearing my Dad and Uncle D singing together, especially at Christmas.

I'm Patti Crossley, Doug's sister-in-law. I never got to meet Doug's special partner Mary Elliot but I'm sad for your loss Mary . . . we probably would have enjoyed each other.
I have fond memories of my niece Nancy and nephew Guy.
My brother-in-law Doug was a multi talented singer, game show host and actor.
For many years I enjoyed his sense of humor and showbiz stories.
It's sad that the family broke apart. My husband Don Crossley, brother-in-law Ray and Doug missed out on so much as brothers when the family split.
I would love to know how my niece Nancy is doing and sorry to hear about my nephew Guy.
My husband Don Crossley passed away in 2003 and I don't know whatever happened to Ray and Dorothy Crossley or the rest of the family.
I'm a published author and television producer living in the Niagara Peninsula near Niagara Falls. If you have any questions about the family history I might have the answers.

I'm sending my condolences and sincerest sympathy to Mary Elliott and all of Doug's family. I certainly would have attended Doug's Celebration of Life but I didn't find out until it had already started. My partner, Ralph Fraser, who left us just a year ago, was one of Doug's special friends. In fact dinner with Doug & Mary was his last venture outside our home. We both enjoyed visits at our summer places in the Kawarthas. We always enjoyed his private concerts whenever we visited - Doug's wonderful voice lulling us into memories along with his numerous stories and of course his good cooking.
Years ago Doug was a neighbour in Box Grove. On any Sunday summer morning, Doug could be seen jogging past our home or driving past in his robin's egg'blue Camero - top down and singing at the top of his lungs.
We will all miss Doug's larger than life personality. Love Joyce (Jo) Davison.
