Andrew Markow was one of my examiners when I did my ARCT Performer exam in 1974. I always give my students that information about the composer, when I am teaching "Teapot Invention", his arrangement in the grade 1 repertoire. I am sorry to hear about his passing. My sympathies to his family and colleagues.

Sincere condolences to Andrew's family.
I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew during his tenure as conductor of the Shevchenko Musical Ensemble and Toronto Mandolin Orchestra.
He will be missed.

Mr. Markow was a teacher of mine as i was progressing through the RCM grades. He helped guide me in completing my ARCT Performance and teach me life long lessons that I will hold dear to my heart. I will proudly tell my students and colleagues about how lucky i was to have a teacher like Mr. Markow. He has made an impact not only in the world of music but in the lives of everyone he has touched. RIP.

Mr Markow was a teacher of mine while in the young artists performance academy in the late 90's at the RCM. I have taught many of his pieces through the years and proudly told my students that I had been lucky to have him as a teacher. He will be greatly missed in the music world. RIP.
