James Edward Paul ANNETT

Peacefully at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital on Monday, November 7, 2016 at the age of 88. Jim served as a Catholic priest for 16 years and was respected and admired by many throughout the Toronto and Barrie areas. After leaving the priesthood in the 1970s, Jim met and married the late Joan Riley (née Donahue), his constant companion for over 30 years. Beloved brother of Clare Harvey (Tom), the late Adele and George (Linda), and best buddy of brother-in-law Tom Harvey. Will be missed deeply by nieces Lynne Harvey (Steve), Beth Harvey (Martin), nephews Stephen, Michael (Adrienne), Paul and Brian (Erin) Annett and many grandnieces and nephews. Loved grandfather to Tara and Shane Riley and ribbing step-father to Rick Riley (Dana). Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) on Sunday, November 13, 2016 between 2-4 p.m. and Monday, November 14 between 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Transfiguration of Our Lord Catholic Church, 45 Ludstone Drive, on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, Providence Villa or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made through
