BETTY BLANCHE COOPER It is with great sadness that we announce Mom's passing on Thursday, May 1, 2014. She passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville, in her 90th year. Mom, married for 66 years, is predeceased by her beloved husband Bob. She was the loving mother and mother-in-law of Paul and Barbara. Cherished grandma to Christopher (Jessica), David (Susan) and Steven (Katie). Mom was the very proud and delighted great-grandma of Matthew, Hailey and Caitlyn. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Lottie Brown and siblings Norman, Cecil, Bill and sisters-in-law Thelma and Hazel. She is survived by sisters-in-law Dorothy (Norm), Dorothy (Bill), Margaret, Betty as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Mom will be remembered for her loving, kind and gentle nature. We would like to thank Dr. Aubrey Kassirer and the nursing staff of the 2nd Floor for their kind and compassionate care. Friends may call at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (North of Hwy. 2), 905-443-3376, for visitation on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in our Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Cremation Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. For those who wish to donate, they may be made to a charity of your choice.
