Will, I remember you both so fondly. The love you had for each other was real. I remember when the 4 of us went to a bar to meet each other for the first time. Carl was a graceful and Wonderful man. I just heard about his passing all these years later.

When I heard Carl died I was so sad. He was such a beautiful guy. We sang together on a few occasions and we got to know each other pretty well. I loved going straight to him at the One of Kind every year for a hug and a quick catch-up. Here it is five years later and I was parking my car to go to Jono Grant's and I saw Carl Stryg Lane. I felt a deep pang of sadness. I miss him. So I thought I'd come here to share it. Still thinking about you Carl!! love Kyree

I remember Carl from our choir boy days at Advent Lutheran Church in the late Seventies! I was saddened when I heard that he passed away so suddenly and much too young. Rest in peace Carl!

He certainly was one of a kind. I worked with him years ago, and his warmth, humour and incandescence are still with me.

I worked with Carl years ago; he was one of the most incandescent people I have ever known. The world will be a much less exuberant place without him.

Farewell to a dear friend. I will miss our regular lunches the most which essentially were nothing more than two hours of giggling. Love, Spencer.

Carl was a beautiful, graceful man with a wicked sense of humour. I have fond memories of laughing, making music and enjoying wonderfully witty conversations together. He was one of a kind and we've lost him far too soon. My condolences to his family and close friends.

Carl and my brother Rob were great friends to each other and to me and my family. The creativity, humour, and tenacious intelligence they shared with us - not to mention the music and food they made - inspires me daily.

I am so sorry for the loss of this amazing bright light.

We were so young when we meet, Carl was so graceful, generous and curious. His talent and humour were immense, when I think of him we are laughing our heads off on Cathy, his sisters kitchen floor. What an amazing person he was.

My sincerest condolences to his loved ones.

Always spoke directly to me as a child. Moved through the world with grace and playfulness that I will carry with me. You may rest knowing you touched the world.

I produced his opera-pop CD "Carl Strygg sings the Classics" and was a regular customer at his "Hello Toast" restaurant...and love his shortbread cookies of course! He left an indelible mark on me...he set his mind to something and did it with a smile. Condolences to his close friends and family.
