CLIFFORD SHERMAN It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Cliff Sherman, 81, of Brampton ON, on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the William Osler Health Centre following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years Marion (Lang) Sherman; loving father of Gord (Colleen), Wendy (Jack), Lynn (Al) and Sandra (Doug); nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren as well as many close relatives and friends. He took great pride in his family and truly relished the friends he made during his life. He particularly cherished the love and support from his brother and sister-in-law Frank and Linda Lang. The lifetime of memories he shared with them, and countless others, will live on in his memory. Born and raised in Toronto, the son of Walter and Martha, he worked as a Mill Wright from the age of 14 to help his family during the depression. Cliff was an avid golfer. He passionately practiced the sport at the Mayfield Golf and Country Club where he served as a longtime member. His proudest moment was the year he won the senior championship in 1995, only to come back and win once again the year after. Visitation will be held at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre at 8190 Dixie Rd., Brampton on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. -- 9 p.m. with a funeral service on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Wellspring Chinguacousy Foundation is appreciated.
