I met David about a decade ago through my cousin, who was David's neighbour. We became friends and I asked him to perform a show at my friend's birthday celebration. What a special birthday that was.

I met David through a mutual friend, Reuben Barkow.
I had just been through a devastating and life changing divorce that reduced me from a man of wealth to a pauper.
Through music and magic he brought hope and redemption into my life. He later performed for my children's birthdays. They loved "Baldini".
He is missed and our world has a hollowness without him.
My children still talk about him to this day. The Darth Vader balloon may have deflated, but is always with us.
He will always be with us no matter what has happened.

David had the most incredible and infectious smile and personality that will never be forgotten. But even more powerful was his genuine interest in whatever I was telling him at the time and his incredible desire to listen and ask questions. We have lost someone so special way too early. Love and strength to everyone in the Grosfield family as they navigate these dark days.

Our children are now 16 and 14 but for many years when they were young, The Great Baldini was a source of joy and wonder in their lives. David was an amazing performer and had a way of interacting with people - especially children - which made them feel special. He will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathies to his loved ones.

To Irv and family, I am so sorry to hear about David's recent passing! I just found out this news from a friend of mine on my Facebook page. As you are aware, my family (Adams) and yours were next door neighbours on Bamboo Grove for many years! I am very sorry to hear this news, please accept my condolences! I just lost my own Mother, a week ago, and am grieving her loss, so I could imagine what your family is going through at this most difficult time. May God comfort you among all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Such sad news. David was a very generous happy man. His greatest thrill, was to bring big smiles to children's faces. I have know him many years and saw him perform so many times. He gave me several props to give to my daughter so she could learn some magic of her own. You will be missed by all who have known you

David was a fun-loving, well-loved, exuberant man. His smile lit up the room and our lives in the entertainment world. I was always blown away by his magic skills and how he connected with any age and strangers. I have wonderful memories of attending a couple of events with him and being at events where he was the photographer. He will be greatly missed by so many. His legacy will live on through everyone he encountered. We were blessed to have had him on this earth. May his soul rest in peace.

David was a friend of my parents and grandparents who I met several times through the years. He performed magic at my bat mitzvah and at my brothers' bar mitzvahs. These could be considered fleeting encounters, but they did not register that way to me. David was electric. He made those days even more special for being there. He was one of the first adults I remember to speak to me, then still very much a child, like an equal. I will always remember him and his kindness. Sending all my love to the Grosfield family.

Baldini was my hero for so long, when I was 12 I saw 7 of his shows in a row. He then took me under his wing giving me two hour magic lessons every Friday for 4 years when our lesson were originally an hour he loved giving me his time and I’m beyond grateful for that. David taught me everything I know he changed my life forever and gave me one of the biggest blessings someone can ask for he taught me how to be a performer and do it for a living I owe everything to David and I’ll never be able to thank him enough. When David passed many reached out but what warmed my heart the most was the amount of Davids students that have reached out. David mentored so many kids it’s a massive inspiration. My condolences to his family, I miss you baldi and will always love you ❤

Shocked and heartbroken to hear the news. David had a way greeting me with that same magical exuberance as if we were still kids passing each other in the school hallway, even if it had been years. He was one of the brightest lights I've ever known. To Steve, Howie, Irv, and all who knew and loved Dave, I am sending warmth and light your way.

A True Creative Genius. This is incredibly sad!! Will never forget the passion in his eyes when he performed the most epic magic tricks at my nephew Leo’s Bar Mitzvah all those years ago. He was the MAGIC. Just a super unique individual with a supreme talent to make others happy!!!!

I have very fond memories of David from Denlow P.S. We were in the same kindergarten class. Later my children met the Great Baldini at The Ontario Science Centre. We loved his shows and his personality. He will be long remembered and greatly missed.
