Emily Sikakane Obituary

EMILY SIZAKELE SIKAKANE Emily Sizakele Sikakane went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., surrounded by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Ebenezer Sikakane, all her children and their spouses. She devoted her life in Christian service, her marriage and her family of five children and nine grandchildren. Emily was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and several in-laws. Visitation will be from on Tuesday from 1-4 p.m. at the Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 275 Lesmill Road, Toronto. A celebration of her life will be at Richview Baptist Church, 1548 Kipling Avenue, Etobicoke, ON, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Private funeral service and burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, gifts to African Enterprise, 128 East Palm Avenue, Monrovia, California 91016, would be appreciated.

My beloved Grandmother and friend. I could recall when she would always call me "just." This name actually carried on as one of my nickanames through school and my friends. I will miss you Grandma...A calm hearted loving mother, wife and grandmother with an amazing outlook on life is how you'll always be remembered.
