George BECK Obituary

BECK, George E. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Beck, on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Joseph Brant Hospital at the age of 98. George rejoins his wife Della. Loving father of Robert (Pat). Proud Papa of Matthew, James (Alyssa) and Adam (Rebecca). George was a veteran of World War II, flying as a member of 431 Squadron. He was a retired District Chief with 37 years with the Toronto Fire Department. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of George.

George was the last stop on Tuesday afternoons on my food delivery route. I delivered to him for 6 years, and he didn't miss very many weeks. When he did, we all worried about him. I felt my workday was over at the stop before George's, because it was such a pleasure to visit with him. One time it was a very short day so we played a game of chess. Can you imagine a 96 year old learning chess? That's how with it George was. I think it's safe to say he was the company's favourite, and I considered him a friend. I'll miss you George. Marc

Dear Beck family, our sincerest condolences. George was a wonderful human being and we all loved having him be part of our golf family for so many, many years. He was a member of our Sr. Men's League for so long and was one of the kindest gentlemen we ever had the pleasure of knowing. His smile was infectious and he melted our hearts each time we saw him.
