HEALY, JAMES THOMAS James Thomas Healy, born 1927, died peacefully on September 3, 2018 after several years of struggling with growing forgetfulness, but in good physical health. He was a man of deep humanity: complex, truthful, warm, caring, compassionate, with a never-ending curiosity about others, human existence and the art of psychotherapy. His passion, intelligence and time were devoted to his clients, students and the development of a thorough training for psychotherapists. In 1986, together with others, he founded the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP) in Toronto. Jim's personality touched many people and he will continue to live on in their memories. A funeral service will take place at St. Andrew by-the-Lake on Toronto Island on October 6th at 2 p.m. At 4 p.m. we will gather in the Ward's Island Clubhouse for refreshments and conversation. In order to anticipate the number of people who will attend either one or both events, please RSVP to [email protected] Additional details will follow from that address.
