JOAN STOWAR Obituary

JOAN STOWAR (BRIGHTMORE) June 2, 1926 - June 10, 2013 Joan passed away peacefully at the Villages of Sandalwood in Brampton in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Tom of 65 years. She was a joyous, caring, kind, classy lady, and everyone who knew her adored her. She suffered from Alzheimer's, a very cruel disease, which robbed her of most of her memories. She will sadly be missed by her daughter Christine (Corbin), son Paul (Lisa) and her beloved grandsons Justin, Carter and Brendan. Mom is now with Dad, happy in each others arms once again. We love you mom, you gave us the best childhood one could have ever had! And the neigbourhood children would also agree as you were always giving to them as well, whether it was popsicles, Wriggley's gum or your wonderful chocolate angelfood dessert, which was a big hit for all who had it!! We will see you again one day. A service to celebrate Joan's life will take place on Friday, June 21st at North Bramalea United Church, 363 Howden Blvd., Brampton at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow.

Mom, you are with Dad. Back are the memories that alzheimer's stole from you and gone is the cancer that ultimately took your life. Your ever loving son.

Chris and Paul - I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. She made the best Trifle I've ever had in my life and she gave me the best piece of advice ever - "Don't sit on cold cement". She'll be missed.
