'BABE' JOHN LEVANTIS Retired Captain of Toronto Fire Department, World War II Veteran Passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 at home at the age of 85 after a lengthy illness with his wife by his side. Beloved husband of Rhoda (nee Michaud) for 55 years. Devoted and loved father of sons John (Renee) and Bradley (wife Frances). Adored Papa of Aaron (Melissa), Mallory, Derrick, Crystal-Lynn, Corey and William Levantis. Predeceased by brothers Steve, William 'Bud', Les and George Levantis. Family and friends are invited to GIFFEN-MACK 'SCARBOROUGH' FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 4115 Lawrence Avenue East (just west of Kingston Road), West Hill, 416-281-6800, for visitation on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. If desired, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
