Just a great loss to us down here on Hilton Head Island. I played so many wonderful tennis matches with John, Bob Hilton, Jack Holcombe, etc. Good friends, he and Joan were over the years. We miss them both. Dick & Katy Sonberg

John hired me as receptionist for Welton Ltd., straight out of University, in 1975. At that time, Welton Ltd was located on the main floor of the Rivergate high rise in Port Credit. Having been accepted into OISE teacher's college in Sept., my original plan was to spend the summer with Welton and then continue school. But, John & Dave's enthusiasm in their work was contagious and I stayed with them until one week before our eldest son was born. I visited the office and, in later years, United Lands, several times, having never forgotten the kindnesses, generosity and friendship both John & Dave always shared with us. Thank you,John, for the wonderful memories I'll always have. You were a true gentle man.
