JOSEPH (JOE) McDONALD Peacefully passed away at Bridgepoint Health Centre on October 14, 2014 with his daughter Joanne and son John (Margaret) by his side. He joins his wife of 25 years Vera (nee Noonan) and his daughter Wendy (Ian). Loving grandad/ papa of Jason (Jennifer), Dylan and his sister Shannon. Dear brother of Tiny (Colin), Creepers, Ray (Bev), Rita and Jean and predeceased by siblings Robbie, Alex, Dave (Evelyn), Duddie (Babe) and Emily (Allan). Joe grew up in New Waterford, Cape Breton Island, having moved to Toronto in the 1950s. He was a dedicated member of AA and actively involved in numerous community groups, including Senior Link at Community Centre 55. A Memorial Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 16 Lockwood Road, at Queen Street East, on Saturday, October 18th at 11 a.m. Followed at 12:30 p.m. by a reception at Sherrin Funeral Home, 873 Kingston Road (west of Victoria Park), 416-698-2861.
