Mr Laurent was a student teacher in our school last year. He was a pleasure to work with, and so good to all the students with whom he interacted. Wishing his family and friends strength in the coming days,

I had the pleasure of meeting Laurent last year when he did his placement with my daughter Erin. I had hosted an evening for all of the graduating students at our home. I was instantly captivated by Laurent's smile, intelligence and warmth. He was a unique young man and will be missed by many. Rest in peace Laurent.

My deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones. I will miss Laurent ...he was kind, funny and simply great with everyone. He had great work ethics....we worked together as Tour Dotectors and he was so pleasant and cool...I am saddened by his passing. May he rest in peace. I will cherish this photo that was taken on a Disco Cruise in Québec city while we had our student groups in May 13. RIP dear colleague!

Laurent was a student teacher at our school last year. To say it is a challenging school, is an understatement. Laurent brought so much richness and kindness to the students and staff. He will be remembered for his caricatures, mega chocolate bars on the staffroom table, but most of his gentle and wonderful personality. I wish his family and friends my sincerest condolences. God gained a good man. N. Corbin

Laurent made an impact on my life. He was always so full of life and energy...one of those people you will never forget. We taught together for 5 weeks during our placement last fall in Thunder Bay. The thing I remember about him the most that placement was his love of art and also how good he was with the children. I felt his art defined him...he was so good at it. I used some of is ideas for my last placement. I always considered him a good friend. The news saddens me and my thoughts go towards you as the family.

I was fortunate to have Laurent as a student teacher in my classroom last spring. He was a real natural with the students under his care and they truly enjoyed his stay. My thoughts are with his family and close friends.

Laurent was a one of a kind character. He could light up any room with his wit and smile. He was a selfless individual and always put others needs before his own. Laurent has taught me more in the too short of time we knew each other then any teacher ever could. He will be missed and never forgotten! Love always xo

A great men is now gone... my thoughts are with all the family and friends.

I had the chance to share some great moments with Lauren when I was a Tour Director. As I only have great moments in mind, I cannot forget the night at a hotel in Mt Ste-Anne having a race with the luggage cart.

See you soon Buddy!!!

My deepest sympathies to Laurent's family. I met Laurent at an improv class a few years back and worked with him occasionally through his work on The Beaverton. He was a funny guy with a great, dry sense of humour. His passing will be felt in our community and he will be greatly missed.

What an amazing soul. So open, genuine and welcoming to all.

I am a Tour Director and had the opportunity to work with Laurent. He was always able to make me smile within nanoseconds of seeing him.

Always ready to help, I can remember he always introduced you to his groups like you were a rock star. Always head and shoulders above the crowd. Ready to lend a hand or an ear, ideas and jokes.

My favourite memory was finding him busking with his group in the market in Ottawa.

My condolences to those that he held close. He will be so profoundly missed.

I didn't know Laurent, but loved his satirical online writing though the Beaverton. He really brought a lot of joy into a lot of people's lives. He will be sadly missed. My deepest condolences.
