MR. LESLIE ASCOTT WWII Navy Veteran, Former Captain of the Toronto Argonauts and five time Grey Cup Award Winner, Masonic Lodge Occident No, 346 Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Royal Gardens, Peterborough in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Irene. Loving father of Terry (Sharon) and Barb Blake (John). Cherished grandpa of Melissa Mitchell (Jeremy), Sara Blake (David Millen), Caryn Blake and great-grandpa of Keenan and Cassandra Mitchell and Jackson Millen. Dear brother-in-law of Muriel Bush and Shirley Mason. Uncle Les will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and their extended family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the NISBETT FUNERAL HOME, 600 MONAGHAN ROAD SOUTH, PETERBOROUGH. 705-745-3211. Memorial service will take place on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. In memory of Les, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
