MARIA ERNESTA BALDASSARRA Passed away peacefully in her 84th year on Friday, August 22, 2008. Predeceased by her cherished husband Mario. She will be sadly missed by her sons Silvio (Pompea) and Frank (Rosanna). Dearly loved by her grandchildren Cristina (Angelo), Stefanie, Alexandra, and Andrew who will forever miss their adoring Nonna. Maria leaves beloved sisters Lisa and Palmina (Giuseppe) and brothers Vincenzo (Emma) and Domenico (Domenica) as well as many sisters and brothers-in-law in the Parravani and Baldassarra families. The family would like to thank all who cared for her in her final years, especially Clara and the staff at Villa Leonardo Gambin. Friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street (2 lights south of Steeles) on Wednesday, August 27 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, August 28 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paschal Baylon Parish, 92 Steeles Avenue West, Thornhill on Friday, August 29 at 9:30 a.m. with entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. As you now rest in peace with the Lord, we forever hold your love in our hearts.
