Mary Catherine Turnbull

MARY CATHERINE TURNBULL (nee McLELLAN) December 14, 1922 - March 31, 2010 Peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by her family at her home in Orillia. Former wife of the late Gordon Siegrist and wife of the late Robert Turnbull. Loving mother of Jan Regis (Vernon), Barry Siegrist (Joey), Eric Siegrist (Debi) and Stephen Siegrist. Dear grandmother of Elan and Etienne Regis. Step-mother of the late Brian Turnbull (Rosemary) and Kathleen Charleton. Born on Petty Street Farm, near London, Ontario. Eldest daughter of the late Muriel and Donald McLellan. Sister of Stewart McLellan (Lil), the late Bob McLellan (Phyllis), Norman McLellan (Shirley) and Grant McLellan (Gladys). Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. Mary made many friends wherever she lived and travelled and was a delight to all those who knew her. Mary's family wish to extend their thanks to the Nurses and personal support workers who provided wonderful care in recent weeks. The family will receive friends at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia, 705-325-2231, on Tuesday, April 6 from 1-3 p.m. Service at 3 p.m. with reception to follow.
