PHILIP LEAH Obituary
PHILIP JOSEPH LEAH, Ph.D. Retired Professor of Mathematics, University of Toronto and former member of the Upper Canada Province of the Society of Jesus. In Toronto on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Beloved husband, companion and best friend of Kathryn (Kathi) Ward Leah, dear loving stepfather of Mark MacDonald (Kathleen), Rosanne Johnston (Jim), Maria Merima (Allan) and predeceased by Kathi Watts. Much loved Grandad of Brent (Christina), Jessica, Kari, Troy, Ashley, Benjamin and Shane and Great-grandad of Zachary and Logan; Predeceased by brothers David and James and sisters Mary and Sister Rita Clare. Brother-in-law of Mary Le Noir (Mary) Ward Kierans (deceased), Tom Ward, John Ward and Colleen Hesch. Friends may call on Thursday, February 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 10th at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church (670 Sheppard Avenue East, east of Bayview). Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street).
