PERSI, PIETRO (PETER) It is with immense sadness that the Persi Family announces the unexpected passing of Peter at his home in Newmarket, Ontario on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the age of 53. Peter is predeceased by his Mother Rita Persi (nee Mirabelli). Peter will forever be lovingly remembered by: his Father Franco; Sisters Tina Watts (David) and Maria Filipetto (Fausto); Brother Rino Persi (Isabel); and loving Nieces and Nephews Julian, Ava, Chelsea, Jordyn and Tristan. Fondly known as Big Pete, he will be greatly missed by all who shared his presence especially for the humorous stories, kind selfless acts and willingness to help anyone. A memorial service will be held for Peter at St. Jane Francis Parish, 2745 Jane Street (Jane and Sheppard) North York, ON M3L 2E5, Tel: 416-741-1463 on Wednesday, August 29th at 9:30 a.m. A private entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's name to his favourite charity: SickKids Foundation (donation link to come at a later date).
