Condolences to Sylvia’s family especially her son Paul. I first met Sylvia when she was the librarian at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto where I worked supporting our faculty and researchers. We soon discovered our sons were classmates at Ledbury Park Public School. The boys were paired together to complete a class project, Sylvia graciously welcomed my son into her home. There was no mistaking the love, devotion and pride Sylvia had for her son Paul.

We met Sylvia at the Kingsway Islington Probus club and realized very early what a treasure she was. Sylvia was very active and involved in the Club and took on various roles, including president. She was well liked for her positive outlook and ideas. We will miss her dearly.

So sorry to hear the news. Sylvia and Arthur were my parents' long time next door neighbors on Woburn Ave. They were the kind of neighbors everyone wants to have and helped us in many ways, especially when my mom died. I remember her cats roaming the neighborhood. My dad passed in 2015 so I hope the four of them can have a reunion now.

My deepest condolences to Paul & family. I met Sylvia when our children sang with the TCC. Together we followed the choir on their tour in England in 1992 and made a lifetime of memories. Thank you, Sylvia.
Rest in peace.
