BUCK, Tom - Loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, chemical engineer, potter and bridge player. Husband of the late Helda Buck (nee Glucksberg). Survived by sisters Mary, Doris, Margery, Murial and brother Maurice. Predeceased by brother John. Tom died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, after playing his afternoon bridge session. Tom was 86. Retired Editor of Canadian Chemical Processing and former Reporter at Corner Brook's Western Star, Newfoundland in the 1950's. Tom will be well-remembered by his daughter Carol Desoer, sons Lawrence Barkin and Daniel Bloom, the Chessel family and grandsons David, Timothy, Benjamin, and granddaughter Rachel. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of whom Tom was a supporter, or any charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held on April 16, 2011 at the Cafe Annex, Royal Botanical Gardens, Hamilton, commencing 1:00 p.m.
