Dear Irene & Family,
Our thoughts & prayers are with you. Henry was my favorite cousin & years ago he was the brother figure we never had in our all girl family. As you know, Henry and my father & mother were very close. Irene, you & Henry & your family have always been there for us. For example, as a tribute at my graduation, special attention at Lloyds' & my wedding, an open door welcome to Sr. Margaret & to our son Jimmy when he moved to Ontario. Distance and time do not erase these memories & in them, Henry is with us.

Ihave many fond memories of time spent with the Benoit family . I feel lucky to have experienced the felling of love and family that was so much a part of Benoit household back in the days after meeting Joey(Banu) in high school.
My heartfelt condolences to Mrs. B.(Irene) and the entire Benoit family.

I was saddened by the news of the passing of Henry or Mr. "B" as I used to call him. Although it has been many years since I have seen the Benoit family I have often thought of them. Little Joey was one of my best friends during high school and we were often at the Benoit home. Mr. and Mrs. B were always so welcoming as was the entire family. You always felt like one of the family and you knew you were really on the inside if Mr. B was poking fun at you, I think it was one of his ways of being affectionate. I don't know how many people have been struck by lightning but it is something you never forget and I have not forgotten the time Mr. B, Joey and I were travelling through the Holland Marsh on our way back from Barrie and lightning struck next to the car.

Mrs. B (Irene) you were at times like a mom to me and all of these years later I still remember and cherish those feelings and memories. This is a true sign that you and Henry have done the work of God because that is all we leave on this earth. At this difficult time I really want to thank you for this blessing you have given me. Having your son come into my life has also been a blessing and I thank you for this.

Sincere condolences to Irene & family.
Henry was one of the best bosses I had
during my years at GMAC. We especially
remember a good time at HY's restaurant
in downtown Toronto back in 1978, just
before I was transferred to Sudbury.
Bill & Diane Quaille were there and we
all had a lot of laughs.

We have only fond memories of Henry.

We had the pleasure of meeting Henry a couple of times over the past year or two through friendship with his son Joe and family. On both occasions we were very struck by his welcoming manner and hospitality at these family functions. Henry had a very warm manner about him and a wry sense of humour. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.

At this time, we wish to extend our deepest sympathy to Irene, all members of the family and those close to him.
