Wallace McLeod Obituary

MCLEOD, Wallace John - It is with great sorrow that the family of Wally McLeod (July 27, 1923 - September 18, 2011) announces his passing at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Wally was born in Innisfil, ON to Hilliard and Susan (née Crawford) and raised in Toronto by his grandparents Hector and Kathleen. He served in the RCN from 1941-1948. WaIly was a dedicated father and husband, whose humour, wit and generosity will Iive on in all who knew him. As a sales manager for Daoust Lalonde Ltee, Wally was well respected by both his customers and the NHL players he served, especially Wayne Gretzky, Ron Ellis and Toller Cranston. Wally was past President of the Kinsmen Club and a member and sponsor of AA for over fifty years. Predeceasd by his twin sister June Isabella and his parents, Wally will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 62 years Sara (McMillan), brother-in-law Donald McMillan: sons and their wives Robert and Lori, Greg and Nancy, Alan and Laurie, Norman and Dianne, Ian and Susan and daughter Julianne; grandchildren Andrew (Christina), Adam (Vikki), Christina (Jeff), Justin, Jordan, Steven, Kayla (Jay), Riley, Alicia, Jamie, Emma, Amelia, Emily and Kathleen: and great- grandchildren Jaide, Alexander, Hannah, Alyssa and Rowan. He will be remembered fondly and missed deeply. Hold Fast. Mr. McLeod is resting at the funeral home of Skinner & Middlebrook Ltd., 128 Lakeshore Rd. E. (1 block west of Hurontario St.), Mississauga, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1171 Clarkson Rd. N., Mississauga on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Tire Jumpstart would be greatly appreciated. Jumpstart is a national charitable program that helps financially disadvantaged kids participate in organized sport and recreation. Cheques should be made out to Canadian Tire Jumpstart and mailed to: Canadian Tire Store No. 269, 260 Goderich St., Port Elgin, Ontario N0H 2C1.

Greg, Nancy and Family
