John Kasyn

KASYN, John (Accomplished Toronto artist; graduate of Ontario College of Art; member of O.S.A. and C.S.P.W.C., Gold Medal recipient 1966) Suddenly but peacefully at home on Monday, September 8, 2008 in his 83rd year. Loving husband of the late Stephanie (nee Pashkiewich). Dear brother of Stephanie Obney (the late Dr. Nicholas Obney). Cherished brother-in-law of Lillian and Dennis Healey, Roy and Pat Pashkiewich, Jacqueline Paskewich (the late Ed), and the late Billy. Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Eva Kasyn. Survived by niece Dr. Jeannette Frost and her husband Dr. Peter Frost, and many other nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by special caregiver and close friend Wilma Watson. A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection was held at St. Paschal Baylon Church on Thursday, September 11, 2008, celebrated by Rev. Vincenzo Rosato, C.S. Interment in the family plot at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill. In John's memory, masses for the repose of his soul would be greatly appreciated.
