As a life-long friend of Lupe's brother Javier, I have fond memories of spending time at the Rodriguez home and having some great chats with Lupe in my teenage years. Since moving away from Toronto several years ago, although I didnt get a chance to see a lot of Lupe, I would think back to those great times at their family home while listening to her reviews on CBC radio. There was something about her voice that would always put a smile on my face.
My sincere condolences to the entire family.

I went to the same High School with Lupe and just after school we worked together as waitresses at a restaurant in the Manulife Centre. While we did not stay in touch after our twenties, it was always lovely to run into Lupe on the occasions that I did, the last being the Jarvis Reunion in 2007. I am surprised and saddened to hear of her passing.

When we lose someone so full of joie de vivre, it leaves a deep void in many lives. Our days at York University in the Fine Arts program in the early 70's were so much fun, loud and edgy, thanks to Lupe and her artistic talents which coloured all of our lives...my deepest sympathy to her family
