Gordon Rayner Obituary

RAYNER, Gordon - A renowned Canadian artist known for his wit and his passions for art, travel, the Canadian bush country, jazz (playing it and listening), his many friends and Ketel 1 vodka. He was a master of many media - he loved to experiment and always came up with something fresh and exuberant. He was a fiery, irresistible presence. Gordon Rayner died suddenly at home on September 26, 2010. He is survived and remembered by his wife and best friend Kate Regan Rayner; his sisters Stephanie Rayner and Cathy Wilson; his daughter Daphne Rayner; and his much-loved friend and studio assistant Colin Stark. There will be a celebration of his life in November, date and place to be announced.
