SWARBRECK, Sydney and Violet (nee Eary) - After many struggles with health issues, Sydney (December 1, 2012) then Violet (December 16, 2012) peacefully passed away at Good Samaritan Long Term Care Centre in Alliston. Beloved parents of Brenda Blaber, Brampton and Dr. Brian Swarbreck, Alliston, dear in-laws of Vivienne, cherished grandparents to Adam (Jodi), Natalie (Eliot), Scott (Beth), Amanda and Katelyn, proud great- grandparents to Ethan, Liam and Mia. They will be missed by their nieces and nephews in England as well as extended family and friends in England and Canada. Both Sydney and Violet are Veterans of WWII. Sydney served in the Royal Signal Corps for 8 years and Violet in the Women's Land Army. For over 45 years, Sydney and Violet have been active members of Trillium Branch, Independent Order of Foresters. They both thoroughly enjoyed being Mr. and Mrs. Claus for many years. Sydney and Violet often shared their love for travel and cruising with their family. The family will receive friends at W. John Thomas Funeral Home, 244 Victoria St. E., Alliston, on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of their Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. A Reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
