No one would know this unless they had worked in the 90 Bloor St. W. Toronto office as I had, circa 1960. George had a saying ;
'' If you don't give, you don't get ''.

Dear Isabelle:
I was saddened but not too surprised to learn that George has left this vale of tears. My sister called me here in Florida to alert me to the news and I then called Alan and Darija neither of whom were aware of George's passing. The memory of the unique person was - and the incredible talent he shared with the world - will always be treasured by those of us who has the opportunity to work with and get to know what a unique man he was.
I have always admired the way you were always in his corner (even at your own expense) and know that you have been with him every step of the difficult road he trod recently.
There are many of us who would like to help you in any way we can and you have only to call me (905-839-8846) and I would welcome the chance to repay you for the many kindnesses you have shown me over the years. Please give David and Diane my love.

Dear Isabelle:
I was saddened but not too surprised to read that George has left this realm of tears. My sister called me in Florida and I then contacted Allan and Darija - neither of whom had read the obit. As you know, George was one of a kind and his memory will always be treasured by those of us who were lucky enough to have worked with him and had the opportunity to get to know the unique person he was.
I would imagine this has been a long road for you to travel and my admiration for the way you were always there for George (even at your own expense) goes deep. The ordeal has probably left you both tired and feeling lonely. There are many of us who appreciate the terrific woman you are - and are here if you reach out to us.
I am sure Diane and David are aware of the wonderful father George was and will always be able to draw on the strengths he developed in them. I was delighted to read have grandchildren - as well as a great grandchild. I know they brought you both a lot of joy.
Contact me (905-839-8846) if I can do anything to help.

We have all lost a good friend. George took me under his wing when I joined Bregman and Hamann many years ago, becoming my mentor. He believed in me over the years I was with the firm and was the first to call with congratulations and encouragement when I struck out on my own. George was the original people person. Elaine and I remember the many happy memories and laughter of great times shared with George and Isabelle. We will miss you George. Isabelle, our thoughts are with you and the family. Isabelle and family,

With deepest sympathy in this time of loss and sadness.

A leaf is released
From the arms of a tree
To glide through the air...
Now totally free...
A journey to make-
A good-bye to us all...
A beautiful brilliance
We'll always recall.
