I am deeply saddened by the news of Tamara's death, a dear friend of many years. We met at her solo exhibition at the Merton Gallery, I think in the '70s. I was connecting then in any way I could with Poland, having taught American culture at Jagiellonian University a few years before. I sought links all things Polish and Tamara was my most cherished discovery. We became close friends and I often visited her and her husband Tad, enjoying tea and Polish cakes.
No words I can find express adequately the love and admiration I had for her and her awesome tapestries, both in her home and public spaces. She will always be with all of us in her art,
expressing her incomparable creative imagination, her love of nature and life.
