1939 - 2016
Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Beloved husband of 50 years to Cathy (nee LoVecchio). Cherished father of Mary Catherine (Greg McClement), Joseph and the late Michael. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Alexis, Isabella and Joseph and by their mother Merissa. Sadly missed by his brothers John (Mary) and Sal (Joan). Predeceased by his parents Salvatore "Sam" and Mary (nee Cusimano). Joe will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends within Canada and Ft. Myers, Florida. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gabriel's Parish, 670 Sheppard Ave. E. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Southlake Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or The Kidney Foundation of Canada. Condolences www.rskane.ca

Dearest Cathy,
Joe's love for his family was palpable. A fond memory is of Joe holding his little girls about to leave for Ontario who did not want to be parted from Papa. May you find strength and calm in the arms of your children and grandchildren.
