I remember my first role with Denis, I was his right hand man, I will never forget how when you got on set everyone knew you and gave you the utmost respect, I was so star struck by him! Then years later I got to work with him again and I'll never forget the advice and kind words he passed onto me, it was an honour to know him and I will forever open the door for my boss and leader.

My mom and I had the good fortune to have bumped into Denis at the JCCC Spring Festival where he made us laugh, as he always did then gave us what would be our last hug.
Our deepest condolences to Danielle, Miya and Kintaro and the family.

I worked with Denis on the animated show Toot and Puddle. What stands out the most to me, aside from his excellent performance skills, was his kindness and gentleness.

Denis, I can't believe this. We were band-mates way back in the early seventies but we haven't seen much of each other since, just the occasional chance meeting and some recent emails. This man had more talent than any one I know. So sad to hear.

Barry:
I tried to send a message earlier but I am not sure that it got through. The message was more or less as follows.
Barry: You and I go back a long time, maybe 40 years, to our youth on Boultbee Avenue in Mike Friend's bridge club in his basement.
Dennis was younger than us but I was impressed with him then. Who knew that he would go on to such success ?
Sorry to hear of his passing.

My condolences to Denis' family. I was shocked and saddened to read of his passing. We had fun working on a film, The People Garden, one January in Sudbury, ON. Only 35 below zero, normal for that region. I will miss him.

My heart aches and can't believe that you are gone. Denis was always the kindest, the most generous, impishly hilarious, and utmost professional friend and always treated me as an equal. One of my first professional theatre gigs was with Denis and we have always remained friends since. Always so happy to work with Denis on projects or see him at auditions. Always managed some tiny bits of social time but never enough. Sending so much love and light on your journey. Sending love and light to Danielle and your kids. Missing you tons.
