Ronald DRYSDALE Obituary

DRYSDALE, Ronald Graham August 10, 1948 - January 20, 2021 Ronald Drysdale, aged 72, beloved husband of Rosemarie (nee Schein) for 45 years, best dad ever to Christina and James (Vickie Morgado), and amazing grandpa to Alex and Victoria, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous and well-fought battle with cancer. He is the beloved son of the late Donald Drysdale (1999) and June Drysdale (2019), and much-loved brother of Rena (David) Edwards, Don (Lynda) Drysdale, Harry Drysdale and Cathy (Richard) Jackson. Ron was an Electrical Engineer by trade, who loved to travel and pursue his love of woodworking. He was the handiest of handymen, endlessly pursuing renovations and amassed a truly astonishing collection of tools. A gifted electronics hobbyist, he also enjoyed biking and staying active, holding a black belt in karate and remained, for some reason, an avid Toronto Argonauts fan. A big believer in "keeping your mind active," Ron was an extraordinary crossword puzzle and Sudoku solver, reveled in efficiency and precision, enjoyed good food, good wine and dark beer, and was one of the select few who appreciated rum-raisin ice cream. His advice, wit, intelligence and generosity will be missed.

Very sorry to hear of Ron's passing. My sincere condolences to the entire family. Ron and I worked together at Motorola in the mid-1970's. He was one of the "good" guys there in those days. But I seem to recall that he had a lot more hair back then.
