CATTELL - The family is deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Marj Cattell of Saskatoon, SK, April 27th, 2008. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Les; daughter Vicki Cattell; sons Brad (Kelly), their children Brennan, Jordan, Kirstan, and son Kenton (Heather), their child Kayla; sister Hazel (Mervin) Skoberg; in-laws and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Charlie, Jack, Richard and Jim. Marj was born in Hawkeye, SK, and was raised in Shellbrook. After her teacher's training she took her first job in Asquith, where she met and married Les, the love of her life, a local farm boy. She enjoyed her teaching career of 30 years, retiring in 1991. In the years following her retirement, Marj enjoyed many things. She had a love of gardening, sewing, quilting, curling and dancing. Marj was also very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. A Celebration of her Life will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, turn right before railway crossing). A private family graveside service will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Donations in Marj's memory may be made to St. Paul's Hospital ICU (1702 20th Street West, Saskatoon SK. S7M 0Z8). Family and friends may send e-mail condolences from the website www.hillcrestmemorial.ca . Arrangements have been entrusted to Ken Scheirich, HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME 477-4400.

Dear Les and Family,

I am so sorry to hear of Marj's passing. I truly enjoyed teaching with such a gracious, generous and lighthearted colleague. She was always so proud of all of you; your names filled many a conversation. She will be missed.
