STEVENSON, Barry Robert Daniel
Age 64, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at home. Barry will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his two daughters, Tammy Hinds, Jodi Ranger and his precious grandchildren who were the light of his life Jordyn and Tristan, along with many family and dear friends. He is survived by his mother Velma Stevenson, sisters Barb Lund, Heather Stephens and brother Brian Stevenson along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Val Stevenson (nee Wolosch, nee Hinds), father, Art Stevenson, his loving grandmother Josephine Stevenson and grandfather Daniel Stevenson and most recently his uncle Arnold Stevenson. Barry worked a number of years at the Mohawk in Sutherland where he met the love of his life Val. He was an active member in the Town of Dalmeny Kinsmen and Curling Clubs and coached baseball there for nearly 20 years. Barry played in the Dart League at the Army and Navy Club for 17 years, where he also played Shuffle Board and Crib. He was president of the Veterans Golf League for five years, was on the Executive Board since 2012 and for almost three years on the Entertainment Committee. He also volunteered with the Lupus SK Society on their Golf Committee and served as Master Chef at their fundraising BBQ's this summer. Donations may be made to the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Club or Lupus Society SK, Box 88, Royal University Hospital, 103 Hospital Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 0W8. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Club, 359 1st Ave N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1X5 with Pastor Gary Sawatzky officiating. Arrangements are in care of DALMENY FUNERAL HOME 306-254-2022.
