George Grant It is with profound sadness that the family of George Grant announces his passing at RUH on Monday, February 6, 2012. George came to Canada from Hungary in 1948. He started his career as a furrier in Winnipeg, and soon moved to Regina where he met and married Darlene Jaeger. In 1966 they moved to Saskatoon to raise their five children. George owned and operated Grant Furs, Fashion Furs, and was a fur consultant to Eaton's and The Bay. George was an avid sports enthusiast, particularly soccer, both as a player and a coach. He also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play in a variety of sports. A man of many friends and a unique sense of humour, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. The most important part of his life was his family. He is survived by his loving wife Darlene; Daughter, Laurie Robinson; Sons, Gordon (Gaye-Lynn), Gary (Darlene), Glenn (Leona), and Geoff; Grandchildren, Chris (Marla), Sean, Kyle (Lindsay), Joshua (Amanda), Margaret-Anne (James), Haleigh, Kevin, Danielle, Dylan, Jenna, Sallee, Savannah, Sydney and great-granddaughters, Sara, Kalli and Anna. Also left to mourn him are numerous In-laws, as well as his family in Hungary. The family wishes to express our deep gratitude for the wonderful care provided by the staff at RUH.
