BATES -Shirley Myrna passed away peacefully with the family at her side on Wednesday, November 16th, 2005. Shirley was born on January 8th, 1939 in Davidson, SK. Shirley was raised in the Bladworth area. She married Clifford Bates in 1958 and lived on the farm east of Hanley. They moved to Dundurn in 1986 where they resided until May of 2005, at which time they moved into a condo in Saskatoon. Shirley is loved and remembered by her husband, Clifford of 47 years; son, Brian Bates (Amber) and children, Ashley, Tanner, Austin, Bayly, Blair and Jae; daughter, Debbie (Keith) Olszewski and their sons, Braden and Brent; sisters and brothers, Ken (Ann) Ames of Lanigan, SK, Audrey Hickson of Cranbrook, BC, Lorne Ames of Victoria, BC, Betty Crabb of Saskatoon, SK, Marj Willner of Davidson, SK, Gladys Voight of Vega, AB, Don (Marilyn) Ames of Saskatoon, Dorothy (Gary) Peterson of Eckville, AB, Wilda (Wally) Penna of Regina, SK and Glen (Maricel) Ames of Victoria, BC; brothers-inlaw, Donald (Bea) Bates of Dundurn, SK and Marvin (Ella) Bates of North Battleford, SK; sister-in-law, Eileen (Bill) Hauck of High River, AB; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Mabel Ames; and brother, Bruce and infant brother, William. The family would like to thank the Fourth Floor staff at City Hospital. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 21st, 2005 at the Dundurn Community Hall, Dundurn, SK. Interment to follow at Sunny Valley Cemetery, RM of Lost River, SK. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation Office (701 Queen Street Saskatoon, SK S7K 0M7) or Canadian Liver Foundation Saskatchewan Region (2320 15th.
