It’s been over three years, so this might seem odd. Sarah, and Pastor Keith, attended the same church I did as I grew up. Sarah, became close to me, and became like a surrogate grandma.
It was 6th grade VBS, and she was our teacher. It was her kindness and grace, as well as her knowledge and love that initially planted the seeds of faith in my heart that eventually led to my salvation and relationship with Jesus Christ. She played a large part in my life! She also was the bell choir director for a period of time, which I participated with for several years. She will always be precious and grand memories for me, I miss her, but she is in paradise with our Savior, and we’ll meet again, thank you Sarah.

Sorry to hear about Sarah. We are relatives however I never kept much track of my family tree. One night about 20+ years ago Sarah called me and explained our relationship. It goes back to the Smith family of New Castle area. She invited my wife and I to their home and gave us a brown envelope full of pics of my Grandmother and Grandfather (George and Bertha Smith Fox) of Anderson. Also included were some pics of my Dad who I did not get to know real well due to divorce. He was part of D-Day invasion and fought at the Battle of the Bulge. I could not thank Sarah enough!!!

To Sarah's family: I was saddened to learn of your mother's passing. She and I worked together for a number of years at the BSU Speech and Hearing Clinic. I got to know your father as well, and we all had good laughs. It is ironic that both she and the former department head, Dr. Richard Hoops, passed away within 2 weeks of each other. Sarah and I both worked for Dr. Hoops -- she as department secretary and I was the clinic secretary.
My condolences to you all.
