Muncie - Mahlon "Red" Stevenson, 63, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 28, 1954, in Rosedale, IN, the son of Mahlon, Jr. and Norma (Fowler) Stevenson. Mahlon grew up in Rosedale and Terre Haute, then moved to Muncie to take a position with General Motors. He retired from General Motors after a long career.

Red enjoyed fishing, camping, and the outdoors. He was always riding his lawnmower, whether his grass needed mowing or not. Red loved coaching his kids and grandkids in little league baseball at the Selma Ball diamonds. He enjoyed cookouts at his house, especially with his kids and grandkids.

Mr. Stevenson was a member or UAW #499 and Eagles Lodge # 231.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Jones; eleven children, Arnold Stevenson (wife, Terrie), Brian Stevenson (wife, Kim), Tammy Adams (husband, Jason), Gary Stevenson (wife, Heather), Montoya Anderson (husband, Ricky), Bubba Stevenson, Dusty Stevenson, Damien Stevenson (fiancée, Angela Williams), Janice Stevenson, Cheyanne Jones, and Steven Jones; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Michael Stevenson (wife, Shelly), Steve Stevenson (wife, Candy), and Ronnie Stevenson; step-mother, Jackie Stevenson; step-sister, Jill Watkins; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Stevenson was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Kathy Doan, brother, Timothy Stevenson, and brother-in-law, Fred Doan.

Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 10:00 am until service time at Noon on Friday, December 1, 2017.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, December 1, 2017, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Dale Trego officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
