Effie "Jan" Thomas GILBERT - Effie "Jan" Thomas, 52, of Gilbert, SC passed away May 5, 2017. She was born in Colombia, SC to Charles J. Wingate of Greenville, SC and Carol J. (James) Forsythe of Charleston, SC. Effie is survived by her loving husband, Charles of Gilbert; her son, Charles (Bee Jay) Wells of Camden; daughters, Jessica Wells of Lexington and Amanda Wells of Charleston; and her step daughters, Magnolia and Sara Thomas of Lexington County; and seven grandchildren. She also leaves her sister, Leigh Anne Forsythe and brother, Charles Robert Fosythe both of Charleston. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 6-8PM. Funeral services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
