My deepest sympathies to Carolina, Dick, George, Carolina & all who loved Richard. Of course, there are no adequate words. My prayer is that there be comfort in remembering the deep & lasting impact he made on all who knew him. His life was a teaching, in how to love, how to live life fully, joyfully, with courage. Bowing deeply to Richard, and to the family & friends who nurtured him. Trish Thompson, Hanoi, Vietnam

Whatever "it" is, you had "it". You had a grace, a manner, an affectation, a sense of style, an intuition that drew people to you. You were such a fun person to be around, not so much as the life of the party but as someone who was more interested in what was going on with others than yourself. You were loved by so many people and you will be greatly missed. Rest in peace dear friend. Jeff & Gill Koenig

I am so saddened to hear that Richard had passed away. I remember his great sense of humor and terrific personality. A good and loyal friend. My deepest sympathy to all, and know I will remember him well and the memory of a good and decent man who has left us too soon.
